"Tyrant-in-Chief: A Nation in Chaos & The FDA's Chronic Toothache"

-------------------EDITOR'S NOTE-------
While in the process of writing this post, I became aware of the terrible tragedy of the tornadoes in OK. I want to offer my condolences and prayers to all who were affected and wish them a resolute recovery and rebuilding. This area has been hit hard before. Oklahomans are a tough, proud people and they will rebound.

Before I get into the scandal trifecta, let me comment on dental matters. The FL legislative session concluded 2 weeks ago and , IMO, we accomplished little. There will be a sine die (read post mortem) Capitol Report that will be out soon, hopefully. The biggest item we've been trying to pass, one which I erroneously predicted would finally pass, did not. I'm referring to the non-covered services bill, no need to further describe it. Our bill got trapped in the insurance & banking subcommittee whose chair, Rep. Bryan Nelson of Apopka, refused to advance. It's not like we didn't drop a few hints to Bryan, like a mound of DDOH issues cards on his desk and even name badges with toothbrushes glued on. We showed up, we did what our GAO staff asked of us but the legislators (mostly Republicans) were MIA! I use the plural because there were more than one responsible, like Spkr. Will Weatherford. Will may well have just put a coffin nail in his future hopes for higher office, at least with S. FL voters, by also blocking the bill to allow a local vote on a hotel bed tax to upgrade Sun Life Stadium. I believe it would've lost locally, but we deserved the right to hold that vote and let the people be heard. It's ironic and ridiculous that one of the last legislative update videos we were sent featured several of our supposed allies, from both parties, who talked about working with the FDA on issues and the mutually beneficial outcomes of said actions. Well, those same folks were some of the ones who hid under their desks and did nothing to pressure Rep. Nelson to let our bill move. It's conventional wisdom that things move easier through the House and tend to stall in the more tedious Senate. Not our bills, we've had 2 sessions of easy passage through Sen. committees and the full Sen., only to fail at the House level. To those of you who are LCDs in Rep. Nelson's area, I think you need to take a lesson in persuasion and mobilization from us Miami guys and gals. Just ask the would be retread career pols, Renier & Alex Diaz de le Portilla, who got beat by newcomers, how effective we can be when someone tries to support bad legislation in our arena? I noticed Rep. Nelson only has 1 LCD, maybe he needs a few more. I sensed, in the email blasts from our FDA Pres. on this issue, that she was frustrated with the inexplicable delays in passing what should be a logical bill. I, too, am fed up and tired of applying Einstein's definition of insanity. Good roads, good weather ain't workin'. We need to find out exactly who blocked, stymied or otherwise failed to advance our bills and target them for defeat by supporting their opponents. Obviously, this also means we must do our homework to be sure the opponent supports our issues. I will say as much in the upcoming FLADPAC meeting this June. Now to the tyrant.
It's becoming increasingly clear we have a tyrant in the WH who has no regard for the Constitution, balance of powers or concern for abuse of the presidential authority. Obama still thinks he has a mandate and the nation can be strong armed like the dysfunctional city of Chicago, where thugs are armed to the teeth and lawful people are helpless. Benghazi will not go away and the recent  hearings were proof positive we need a select committee with subpoena powers to drag in the key witnesses who refuse to cooperate. There are 3 basic questions that all the superfluous emails the regime just offered up still have not answered. 1) Who directed Susan Rice & Hillary to lie about a video, days after the attack, when they knew from the start it was not the cause? 2) Who ordered the troops, as close by as Tripoli, to stand down? 3) Where was Obama during this 8-9 hour siege? We sure as hell know every minute of his whereabouts during the Bin Laden raid, don't we? The pathetic excuse of "not enough time" is offensive to basic intelligence. How could anyone have known how long this attack, which turned out to be very protracted, would last? It's clear to me Obama rolled the dice, hired a terrorist brigade to guard our embassy and personnel and wasn't about to send US assets out to fight a foe he claimed no longer existed- not before the election. It would damage his "Al Qaeda's finished" fantasy. It was more politically expedient to let terrorists run rampant all over our embassy and kill 4 Americans. Had this been under Bush's watch, the media woulda gone ballistic. On that note, has anyone seen Cindy Sheehan or Code Pink lately? It's not like we're still not at war in the M.E. The latest tactic by the Obama team is to brush Benghazigate off as merely inter agency stumbling and bumbling. Why do we still have an FBI, CIA,  DHS and State Dept. so inept and vain that they're more obsessed with a four way tinkle fight than saving American lives?
How about that kinder, gentler IRS? This scandal may be the frozen rivets in Obama's Titanic no one counted on. Back in 2010, the GOP won big on mostly backlash to Obamacare. The Dems realized they had created the birth of (ok, botched abortion for the left) a new monster called Tea Party. This critter cost them dearly, despite its often fumbling, clumsy approach. The fact remains that 18 of 20 Dem seats that Sarah Palin (public enemy #1 for the Dems) targeted for defeat lost to Republicans. The Supreme Court ruling that corporations are people, God forbid, was the icing on the cake. That allowed big $ to flow into opposition to the combined machinery of Obama, liberal universities, unions and the sycophant media. Obama realized he needed to take drastic measures and he did. The IRS was used to deny tax exempt status to any conservative group, not to liberal outlets like NPR, PBS or Planned Infanticide-of course not.
As a dental analogy,  let's use ins. claims. Let's say MetLife is upset at me and my district because they support me. So they take the usual 20 employees who process claims from this area and assign them all to only 1! Instead of the legally required 30 days, they take 2+ years to respond to a claim and, every time a local dentist calls to complain, they're told "we'll get back to you" or never even get a reply. Wow, that sounds like Medicaid, doesn't it? Oops, I digress.
The fact is this is tyranny on several fronts. It's a blatant abuse of the 1st amendment and a form of intimidation. I say that because of the probing questions they'd ask the applicants, things like what books they read, who they associated with or who were their donors. No surprise, it scared off some donors. This is the kind of stuff we lived through in Castro's Cuba, unchecked power by the regime to intrude and meddle into any and all aspects of one's life. Let's not forget, the IRS is the $ arm of Obamacare and the lady in charge of that post was front & center in the IRS Tea Party scandal. The fact no one in the IRS had leaked this before tells you a high % of liberals work there, as in most govt. agencies. Nixon certainly didn't get away with this kind of IRS abuse. The other problem with this mess is they knew about it months before the Nov. election. See the pattern here? Now, to quote Rev. Wright, Obama's chickens are comin' home to roost.  I won't get into the govt, seizure of the AP's phone records, it's too much poetic justice. The most slobbering lackeys in all of what passes for journalism, AP, were the target of Obama's Gestapo, too funny for words! I wanna end with the Boston bombings.
Even the ultra lib Bob "Bulldog" Beckel wants the US to stop granting visas to foreign nationals from terror nations-duh! From Chechnya with hate describes it well. Most of you will recognize that I'm borrowing the title of Ian Fleming's great Bond novel, From Russia With Love. BTW, Russia warned the FBI in 2011 about Tamerlan Tsarnaev and it fell on deaf ears. Remember the father of the Underwear Bomber also warned us about his boy, lotta good that did! This regime, and the bumbling FBI, seem to have a genuine problem recognizing and dealing with Islamic terrorists of all sizes and shapes. Obama did recently joke about once having been a "strapping, young Muslim socialist", hence his ambivalence?  Aside from the fact he's humorless, he was never strapping. The young Obama I've seen in old pics was a skinny, smug faced smoker, looking more like a negative character from the cast of Good Times. See for yourselves.
This nation dies by the hand of its own kindness. We take in these savages as "political refugees", give them $ aid, free meals, tuition and for what? To have them fly back to their hellhole nation to get a type of "education" not offered at U Mass, pressure cooker bomb making. What disgusts me even more is to hear about stupid American girls forming FB groups to support these mass murderers. The Obama regime has granted asylum to Sharia minded Muslims but tries to deport a German family who wants to home school their kids in a Christian teaching model. http://abcnews.go.com/US/court-denies-asylum-home-schooling-german-family/story?id=19189260#.UZlAzNgQO59 But let's not be surprised here, Obama and his minions have consistently berated what they smear as "bitter clingers", returning soldiers as likely terrorists and now uses the IRS to target patriots. They consider foreign born, Islamic terrorists less of a threat than law abiding Americans who love their country and it's foundations. To be fair, the Tsarnaev terror family was granted asylum by  the State Dept. of that other foreign policy luminary, G.W. Bush. Republicans have been equally spineless when it comes to protecting us from this vermin, even when it's infested the military, as in Ft. Hood.
Has there ever been a more anti-American, arrogant POTUS? I can't recall one in my lifetime who was so insecure and autocratic as to implore college grads to ignore any opposing voices of anyone who might dare to disagree what his catastrophic agenda. Can any of you imagine Reagan or Bush telling grads to ignore opposing voices??? Obama never appears to govern, he merely campaigns 24/7 against an invisible foe and accepts no responsibility for his failed policies. The problem is there are enough ignorant Americans who are so distracted and uninformed they can be convinced, even as far off as 2016, that none of this was Obama's fault. Holder said we're a nation of cowards, substitute the last noun for morons. Obama even said, recently, that the gridlock we face is Rush Limbaugh's fault. Does he really think we're that stupid? The answer is we reelected him. I don't know if it's merely CYA make up calls by bad media refs, but I'm noticing some cracks in Barry's media armor. Jon Leibowitz Stewart is ripping Obama on a daily basis, some of the PMSNBC clan are doing it and even top Obama toady, Chris "Thrill Up My Leg" Matthews just commented that Obama is obviously better at giving speeches than running the executive branch. These scandals are far from over and the IRS one looks like it's got some legs. Nixon and Clinton pushed aside scandals, got reelected and paid the price, to differing degrees. Granted that was another time, but there are too many similarities and Obama's not handling it very skillfully. We shall see.
