Hello, friends, it's that time again. We not only have train wrecks in the Middle East theater, we also have actual ones on our railways. Let's take them in that order. First of all, it's great that our military whacked the ISIS $ man whose name is not even worthy of mention. ISIS has been too damn vocal in trumpeting their every ghoulish "achievement" on any media they can, so it's nice to hit them in the groin, assuming they have anything down there to hit. I say that because these "brave believers" threw women & kids at our Delta Forces, as human shields, to save their own pathetic butts.

Aside from taking the POS out, we got plenty of valuable intel that will be used to track down and kill more ISIS vermin. But let's not kid ourselves into thinking this means the end of ISIS or that they aren't restocking their commode faster than we are able to flush it with ARs and drone-fired missiles. I also hope we weren't too eager or too quick to announce this successful mission, that we give them a chance to warn any ISIS tentacles whose whereabouts the captured intel uncovered. It wouldn't be the first time Obama screwed this up, especially when he's desperate to declare a win against his infamous "J.V." that seems to be quite resourceful, for rag tag amateurs. Obama has been deservedly vocal about our big score but very silent about the losses he and DOS spin as "setbacks". The map of ISIS controlled areas, as Ramadi just fell this weekend, keeps growing and this is not a problem the US can or should be burdened with solving. Islam is a cancer and you don't cure it with just bombs or MREs. Until the more civilized nations of the Middle East join forces and take ISIS out, it'll never happen. These nations are too weak, disorganized or corrupt to do that. The so called Iraqi elite forces we trained and equipped, fled in the face of ISIS, leaving behind weaponry ISIS will turn on us. The moderate Islamic nations fear backlash from internal masses of this vermin who are either simpatico or outright participants of terror. Their unelected police states lack the moral certitude and authority to take the necessary steps for the house cleaning it would involve.
The other train wreck, here at home, is our Amtrak fiasco. If ever there were a poster child of govt. ineptitude and failure, it's Amtrak. It gets our tax revenue, has been losing $ for decades and still sucks. Whether it's sub standard equipment or incompetent personnel who have union protection and are nearly impossible to remove & replace, Amtrak is a failure. Look at the engineer who's most likely to blame for this, he immediately lawyered up and has made sure to only state that he has "no recollection" of the event. The union will go out of their way to cover for him and protect him. No train simply accelerates to 106 m.p.h. on its own. He was obviously too distracted and only tried to brake in about as timely a manner as the Titanic swerved to miss that fatal iceberg. I wonder what his cell phone will reveal at the time of the crash? Of course, the left immediately tried to blame this on the GOP and lack of $, LOL. I guess we need to pay for gigantic Whoopee Cushions all along any curve on our nation's railways, so any train that jumps the track will be stopped safely with nothing more than a harmless, flatulence sound to follow. If you wanna see how Whoopee Cushions work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6x9cJWbsnOU
I realize it's absurd, but that, or sealing every mile of rail in tight tubes, would be the only way to have stopped this wreck. No amount of engineering, technology or gadgets can save us from human negligence of this magnitude. Try going twice the speed limit on a curved highway exit and see how that works out for you. This section of track has already proven to be Deadman's Curve in the past.

This crash has taken the front page on the topic but there was another 10-car derailment in PA the same week, thank God with no injuries or fatalities. My RAV 4 seems safer than ever.

I hope none of you will take my use of absurdity to illustrate the absurdity currently out there as a sign I find this needless tragedy humorous, I don't! People died and were severely injured. The Capt. of the Costa Concordia went to jail, so should this engineer.
You wanna solve the Amtrak problem? Privatize it and hold the private operators to the same rigorous oversight the airlines are held. Remember, this was the infrastructure we gave Obama & the Dems $800 billion to deal with. Of course, it went to unions, reelections and other Dem slush fund "priorities". Listen to Obama, himself, seated next to his Jobs Czar toady (GE CEO, Jeff Immelt, who's outsourced 1000s of jobs to China) on the topic of those famous "shovel ready jobs":

Now on to our hard working FL House & Senate. We just ended the annual session in Tallahassee with nothing, no budget, none of our bills funded!
http://www.floridataxwatch.org/resources/pdf/2015LegislativeWrapUpFINAL.pdf
The GOP has full control of both chambers, as well as the Governor's office- and all for what? They had budget impasse issues on whether or not to take Obamacare Medicaid expansion, as well as federal $ for the low income pool (LIP) citizens. LIP service is a good analogy, that's all we got this session. Aside from GOP disorganization, I blame this lack of leadership squarely where it belongs-the so called leadership. Sen. Pres. Gardiner & Spkr. Crisafulli were unable muster their ranks and iron out any differences to do the people's business. Crisafulli ended session 3 days early, simply packed it up and went home. The last 3 Speakers have been lightweight posers. Gov. Scott also seems unable to make these folks go back to work until a budget can be passed. When people want gridlock, they usually vote for a divided govt., we got it with a one-party rule! I'm gonna find it difficult to tell any of you, especially our students, to go the Tallahassee for DDOH, it doesn't seem to have accomplished much this year. The same can be said for Capitol Hill Club $ for these folks, they simply don't deserve it. BTW, none of this can be attributed to a lack of effort by our GAO team, they did everything humanly possible to get our bills passed and achieved great support, as well as smooth sailing through all the committees. If any of you see or talk to Joe Anne, Casey or Alexandra, please thank them.
I know this can and will be used by the DHAT lobby and its supporters to justify the "urgent need" for mid-level providers, since it may seem we dentists can't tie our own shoes. If you ever hear such rhetoric, make sure you point out the work we did, the overwhelming support our bills received, and the real reason they stalled. This type of incompetence and abdication of leadership by the GOP also has presidential implications for 2016. FL is a must win state for whichever party wants to be in the WH. If the RPOF (think ripoff) can't find its way out of the front door, how are they gonna deliver FL to the GOP?
